Jen’s story is quite the Cinderella one, defeating the odds and playing for a men’s professional team, the 2 time TEAM USA player has made an impression on young female athletes everywhere. “Jen does work, she comes to practice every day with a great attitude, work ethic and a drive to get better; this is a big step in her journey and we’re proud of her.” Said Revolution Head Coach Chris Williams.
While never serving herself; Jen’s father, Dr. Peter Welter earned the Silver Star while operating as a medic during the Vietnam War. A member of the 1st Battalion of the 28th Infantry “Black Lions” excelled in the combat zone titled the “Iron Triangle” in the Binh Doung Province about 45 miles Northwest of Saigon.
